The Cave of Zeus - "Dikteon Cave"

According to the myth, this magnificent cave was the birthplace of Zeus. It is one of the most sacred sites of the Minoan period. With an easy hike you walk back in time to explore the cave and enjoy breathtaking scenery.

Traditional Village

A visit to the mountainous village of Krasi filled with history with narrow streets and old stone houses. A visit to the oldest plane tree in the town square that is at least 2,400 years old. The famous plane tree has a perimeter of aproximately 24 meters, they say one meter for each one hundred years of the tree’s existence. A walk around the village to see the roman aquaducts, local traditional life and much more.

Lassithi Plateau

A drive around the well known Lassithi Plateau filled with the ancient windmills. See the everyday culture, local architecture in the villages.

Olive Factory Visit

A quick stop to learn how olive oil is produced from start to finish at a local Cretan family factory. Taste local virgin olive oil and meet the local family that maintains the olive picking tradtions from the past.
